TRiO Outreach Programs: Vision, Mission, Values

Vision

TRIO Outreach Programs strives for 100% college enrollment and successful completion of higher education for low income, first generation students who will reach their full potential as leaders and change agents in the community.

Mission

To develop personal and academic success strategies within low income and first generation college-bound students who will successfully complete high school, enroll in postsecondary institutions and increase the diversity of higher education.

Values

  1. To have a meaningful impact on educational outcomes for high school youth
  2. To facilitate intellectual growth and personal skill development for youth
  3. To promote self awareness, caring for others and ethical decision making
  4. To acknowledge of the impact of power, privilege and oppression
  5. To strive for excellence, honesty, respect and responsible engagement with others
  6. To promote the ability to work in groups and collaborate across differences

Our purpose is to reach out to those schools and areas in San Diego that lack vital information, resources and college preparation materials. We offer a variety of tools for your college ready future: advising, workshops, field trips, college visits, and even a summer residential program.

Your voice is very important to us. We can only unlock and uplift each other by sharing, opening ourselves up and creating lasting commitments. So let's make a plan this year to grow and learn together.

Being a college graduate is just a click away!
